Synthesis has 4 major points of strength.įirst is its units. I'll give some info on Synthesis since you expressed interest. Even combos that seem antithetical are actually extremely strong (like Amazon Promethean). You can rush 3 Wreckers into the enemy's face then give them a full AP refresh with a Reaver. I will note though that something a lot of people miss about Reavers is the ability to reset up to 3 other unit's actions. Assembly late game units are also very straightforward. You'll know how those expensive units late game will fit in with what you have. Learn to use the early units and using the later units becomes easy to figure out. Having bigger numbers isn't necessarily an advantage because they are also higher cost/upkeep. Otherwise they are just your standard 7 range repeating ranged with a special secondary attack but higher numbers because its t2 instead of t1. Fills a similar role but the benefits of being a flyer are tremendous. First is the +1 range, second is the cover bypass.Įlectrocutioners are ok but not great. Its not something you want to do immediately but eventually you want to push your firearms tech line to two major milestones to make your Snipers better. Its still the best damned sniper in the game. If the enemy doesn't kill it they have to deal with its melee overwatch or if they screw up and clump up too much a self destruct. Even if its killed that means enemy actions have been spent on a disposable unit. So make one, rush it in to melee and get value. The constructs are basically suicide bombers with melee overwatch. REs are a key component of the Assembly army. It doesn't matter what secret tech you are chasing. Sneak close by in cover, get close, use a higher damage shotgun shot at melee range if you used up all your AP. So don't be hesitant to get them into the enemy's face. The new stagger on the shotgun is also a big bump for them. The thing about melee is that once the melee is in melee range the enemy cannot even act without suffering retaliation strikes. So first is if you aren't used to use melee Scavs can seem bad at first glance.
